If you like to see a kid in the candy store... that's me in Chicago picking out glass. I'll let you know tomorrow what I found. But, guaranteed - there is always something awesome. I'll surely get what I need, but more than that, I will get something I have never seen before and will hold on to it for just the right project. I usually go alone. I took my Hobbit (book on CD), all my favorite music, and this time I took my husband as well. Can't believe he wanted to go. I may not be able to listen to all my favorite music and I may not get throught the Hobbit either, but it will be fun to have him along.
Next trip should be March 1st when they have their garage sale. I plan to go for that and will pass those savings on to you!
Keep an eye on what's new and let me know in advance if there is something you want. I may be able to find it on sale!

Volunteer Opportunities
-Great Ideas, Tecumseh: Not only do they have great ideas for the interior design of your home or business, they got us involved in a voluntary glass build for the door of a family whose daughter is ill. Brian, my student from Vo-Tech has been working on it. You'll see details in this blog.
-Big Brothers/Big Sisters: I now have a new "Little Sister" and her name is Samantha. She is a very easy to entertain child and we are loving the times we spend together. They said they are in desperate need for Big Brothers for little boys who need a positive male role model. If you are that person, contact the Boys and Girls club in Lenawee County or Big Brothers/Big Sisters in your area.
-Churches: Periodically I volunteer to give stained glass to a church in need. I am continuing that tradition, but in order to do that, I need volunteers to help me work on those projects. If you are a glass artist - or wanna-be-glass artist, contact me, Pat, and I'll put you to work. The church community will appreciate your time and efforts. If you are a church with a question, please contact me as well.
